I'd imagine you could run them in Kent based sports racers and such. Lotus 23s for example ?

I have no idea. This was purchased for a B-MOD Solo II car and was mounted on a Lotus Twin Cam engine. It is in very good condition so hopefully it can find a new home.

good point, my FFord bias showed through there; vintage sports racers probably have looser rules :-)

Hi Ian. If you have been around long enough and like to sleep at night you run the class/group rules. Within a smidge obviously. I know you would never think otherwise. If 'they' want a trophy that bad good on them. 2 years later they will be history anyway.
    Cheers. Ken.

Good point Ken, but it is a 3 second job to try a magnet on the face of the flywheel on a Kent :-) cheers

Yes you could easily do that from underneath on a VD.

I have a story. There was a flywheel that had a beryllium insert . Made the rule book weight. Cdn. F1600 years ago. Yes, I was running my team that weekend.

    Best. Ken.

Same guy who took the surplus F1 fuel one year after the GP. And put it in a Kent. Had to buy a new fuel cell.

I knew a guy who did that in the 80's, early Turbo F1 era. Of course, it didn't run right and he couldn't figure out why the spark plugs looked like they were burning coal oil.
For those who don't remember, F1 mandated that fuel could not be added during a race. To keep their power advantage over the normally aspirated engine teams, fuel suppliers to the Turbo F1 teams figured out how to make one gallon of fuel act like two (or more). He even tried cutting it with regular gas but it was still too much for a F/Ford to burn..
