Default Buying a new "off the rack" driver suit?

    Hello,

I need a new driver suit. All of the size charts I see don't quite seem to fit me. I'm 5'9" and 185. Most suits for my height seem to be for thinner drivers and for my weight for taller drivers. I recently tried on a couple suits at Pegasus and the new ones seem to be very flexible and.would probably fit. I thought I'd tap into the vast experience here and ask for recommendations.

Does anyone have any recommendations about buying "off the rack"?

I went to Winding Road when they had a store in Orange County and found the Sparco suits to be pretty good.

I have the Victory model and they are super comfortable. I am a 'wider' driver

I just bought a new suit. Tried on Sparco, Sabelt, OMP. I’m 5-8 and 185. OMP is a little more generously cut and quality is better. I’m long waisted, so I had to have the legs shortened by a seamstress. Contact Carlos at Sonoma. +18557293170

I have heard OMP was roomier. Just didn't have a chance to try one and the Sparco fit well.

Recommend try size 58 (EUR). 56 might work but 58 probably better.

For the Sparco Suit that looks like it would work but for the OMP sizing chart (https://racecareng.com/tech-racing-s...P-sizing-chart) 58 is for 6'-0" to 6'-4" and 192 - 209 lbs. I'm long waisted like Dan.

I likewise went to Pegasus while at the runoffs last year and tried on suits. I decided the Sabelt line was what I wanted and ended up going back and forth on their size 58 and 60 suits several times.... I chose the 58 as it was a good size with some room, the size 60 was just a tad too big. I am 5'10 and 200 lbs with long legs. Other than a custom suit, trying on multiple sizes was the BEST way to choose the right fit. As I understand it, the sizing charts are not the same between companies so that complicates the fitting process. FWIW, Pegasus didn't have the color I wanted (white), but they did some checking and found one that I happily purchased. VERY pleased with Pegasus for their help.
