Default Opinion of the best vintage race organization to run with?

    Hi all,
What’s the better events or race organizations to run CF,PCF and Prototypes in? I’m in the Midwest. I’ve run SVRA a lot but I’m seeing changes there. Just got back from their Indy event, very few cars and terrible car classes! I’ve done the Brian Redman Classic, it was great. The Pittsburgh vintage Grand Prix is old school awesome! HSR at Daytona is on my list. VDCA,VSCDA,HSR vs SVRA? What’s the best vintage event at Watkins Glen?
    Thanks Wes

Best at the Glen is the VRG event in the fall. Same goes for any NE events (Jefferson 500 at Summit Point is a bucket list event).

In the SE (VIR and points south), VDCA is really fun and laid back. I too have been disappointed with the direction Sorta Vintage Racing Association has taken.

CF ok for both, PCF ok without bellcranks. Prototypes could depend on year. Both typically had group 5 sports racers.

    Cheers,
    Scott

    Wes,

The Eagle at any FFCS/VRG event.
    The DB6 doesn't fit in FFCS/VRG
The P car is a maybe in VRG

    Default Bang-For-The-Buck

    Can't beat VSCDA (IMO)
    5 Events per season:
Gingerman (May), Blackhawk (June), Grattan (August), Road America (September) & Ozarks (October).
Always lots of track time. Registration, Tech, Stewarding and Race Organization get more streamlined & efficient every year.
Every event is driver-friendly. Emphasis on fun & safety.
13 years with VSCDA and I still make new friends & acquaintances at each event.
Our Gingerman weekend includes a drivers' school that is rapidly becoming recognized as one of the best in the country.
