When I ran this sort of setup, I used AN bolts, washers and nyloc nuts. Never had a problem.

Allen bolts and hardened AN washers with a tiny bit of Neverseez or equivalent at 18-20 lb-ft. Never had an issue with that.

I've used AN-5's and ARP's (they sell a pinto kit) no loctite and the torque requirements are surprisingly low.

Never had any issues but 4 cyl motors are vibrating machines that loosen bolts on the whole car! I have a 56 TR3 that will loosen any bolt regardless of any torque or locktite used!
