    Default Header Wrap

I am curious. Is there a reason why FVs do not wrap their headers? Or at least the sections of the pipes that pass under the valve covers?
    Thank you, R

The J-pipes under the heads are usually in the airstream. Keeping wrap on them would be a challenge at 100 mph. From a logistics perspective, having wrapping material sponging up oil during valve adjustments, would not be helpful. Oil wipes off a bare pipe. Considering all the negatives mentioned in that other thread, perhaps the question would be ... Why would FVs wrap their headers? You often see wrap around sections of pipe that will damage other components like bodywork, wiring, starter, shock, clutch slave cylinder, etc.

Thank you. That makes perfect sense.
