Default Lola Formula S - SOLD

I had been looking for either a motorcycle powered formula car or sports racer to run at hillclimbs and track events here in PA for quite some time. As it happened, I ended up with both this car as well as a Yamaha R-1 powered Prince sports racer . I don't need 2 bike powered racecars and need to sell one of them. I have no emotional attachment to either of them and will keep whichever one doesn't sell. This Lola had been advertised here by the previous owner and we ended up doing a deal. It was listed for $8500 and i bought it for $7500 and made an 1100 mile trip to get it. I havent done anything to it since bringing it home. If it doesn't sell, I will tear it apart over the winter and get ready to put on an all-out assault on the Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association next season.

Well, its back up for sale again!

I guess that I'm too nice a guy and take people at their word. I've never had issues with "racing people" until now. I took a potential buyer at his word when he came to my shop, looked over the car and parts and decided that he wanted it. I like doing deals on a handshake and my word, as my father told me, that in this world you only really have your name and your word. I live that way, I guess others don't. End of my rant, next time I will certainly take a deposit.......

The car is available again if anyone is interested.

**** now there is another set of Compomotive wheels included ****

Yes, still on the standard FF wheels and tires.

If the car doesn't sell, I will probably sell-off the three sets of wheels to a a FF guy and replace them with 6 & 8's.

I had someone in the car who is 6'4" tall with a 35" inseam! Tall guy who had a bit of trouble getting in the car the first time, but once he figured out how to twist his upper body to get below the cockpit intrusion bars, he fit well. On the opposite side of the driver spectrum, I'm 5'8" tall with a 30" inseam and I do not fit comfortably in the car the way it's currently configured. I would need to either move the pedals back a few inches or find an original adjustable seat that this model LOLA came with. I did not get one when I purchased this car, but should be easily fabricated and then do a bead seat for final fitment.

    Trade possibilities?
    - 20' enclosed trailer + cash?
    - convertible +/- cash?
    - something unusual?

Let me know what you might have.....

Beautiful job on the PRS. We had a few of them running hillclimbs here in PA back in the 90's.

Price reduced to $7100 FIRM and I also now have an original adjustable seat. I received it on Saturday but haven't had a chance to fit it in the car to see just how much difference it makes for those of us with short legs.i will update this tomorrow with results of the new seat.

There are a couple of wings in the album. Are they unrelated or part of a retrofit? Also, did you get the adjustable seat installed? I'm about 5' 9", and wondering if I'll fit.

With the seat installed and in the forward most position, I can easily depress the pedals. I'm 5'8", 225# and have a 29-1/2" inseam for reference.

The wings that are in the photo album are included in the package. The green rear wing is an old SV or F3000 set-up that I found on a shelf when moving to my new shop. Ive had it for many years and cannot remember what car it came off of. The 3-element units shown were "donated" to the car by a gentleman who came down from NY to look at it. They were off of a B-Mod auto-x sports racer and could be the start of an aero package, unfortunately I don't know anything about them.
