    Default Thanks

    Howdy,

Thanks for sharing the pics. It's nice to see what other racers do. I noticed that you didn't share the pics with the NASA shuttle components, still top secret eh?

    SMSazzy,

What type of Hans device did you purchase (degree wise)? I figure
my P-2 would require a similiar type etc....

    Thanks!

I have used a 30M for about 4 years now. Same one I used in my Tsunami.

Most all Vees are best fit with a 30 deg unit. Some BRD's, Adams, etc (the more up right cars) will use a 20 deg unit. If you are big chested a 30 deg unit MIGHT be used for those cars also. Error on the high side. Even in a more upright car the 30 can be used by simply putting some padding under the tips of the wings if required. Probably 90% of the HANS we have sold to Formula car owners have been 30's.

FYI the last year the Run-Off's were in Topeka, Dr. Hubbard personally fit Mike V. for his HANS (a Vortec) and it was a 40.

Very rare. As a matter of fact they don't even offer the 40 deg HANS in the Sport Model. It is only available in the Professional model. (At a $350 premium!) We have sold many of the HANs devices both Professional and Sport. We have never sold a 40 deg unit. If you had very far lay back car and a big chest, it might be fine. Mike is a big guy so it may have been applicable depending upon his seating arangement. (Mike V. in a Vortec ?)

Jim's right, I needed a 40 for my car and I was not able to try one before paying the premium and buy one. The Anduril has a lie down sitting arrangement and my head is tilted forward. It still may be a challenge to tip my head enough to see since I have a "chin" on my helmet.
