We haven't seen the ultimate aero package because we haven't seen a Radon FB yet.;)
George,
This should be the new IMSA lites engine for L2.
Ken
JRM,
Let me know if you get in touch with Team E. I have left messages for about a week and haven't heard back. They have my car at their shop.
Ken
From previous threads, the geartronics does all that analysis for you on the fly and only lets you shift at the optimum point. :D
Sorry, couldn't resist.
While you are at it, grab the 962 currently on Ebay as well so you can race in a couple different classes each weekend to increase your track time.
That is a cool car. I wonder what the maintenance costs are to run that bad boy.
I wonder if that is the original cokpit layout and gauges? Its always interesting to see footage of cars that were...
Any FB'ers down at PRI? Anything interesting?
Ken
Give it a couple days...
How does this new ruling or clarification or whatever effect the Radon?
Anyone have contact info for Don Armenoff out of Florida? PM me please. I would like to get in touch with him before the Turkey Trot.
Thanks.
Ken
Great job. When can we expect to see it at the track? Can't wait for pictures.
Go faster....
F-duct
Anyone get any pictures of JR's car?
Its been done. One of the earliest Stohrs had one (The McDonalds car), but I believe it was removed by the new owner. Never heard any feedback on it unfortunately.
Road marking chalk will last for a few days and be gone with the first rain. Then a nice template that makes the lanes straight and professional looking.
let's talk about that FC rules proposal. That's been quiet for awhile.
"In the final push for more competitors in the F1000 Champ series, Coop allows his likeness to be used for marketing; providing his favorite "come hither" photograph. This all but assures a full grid...
Actually, the ones at the CRB meetings had taller ears. ;)
Rockin' the "stand-a-lone". Bold move, Mr. Kotter. Bold move...
Wow. Its looking great. Wayne does a great job.
What rules are you working to? Is your chassis parallel to the ground or angled up like the Radon? I dont even want to know whether the connection points are under 6 inches.
Oh, nevermind.....
Exactly!!
See I am a simple engineer. If you have an opinion, I am willing to accept it if you back it up with data. The rub here is the CRB came up with a number with no known (or shared) data...
My understanding is that no competitor has ever won the Runoffs in DSR with a geartronics system. It's a faster class (the fastest this year), with similar systems for shifting. Most people run...
I ran one in my car. Right between the steering wheel and the fuel tank.
Screw the shifters; mass dampers are where its at. No weight penalty, either!
In other words, the safe play in SCCA is to work with a prep shop and/or manufacturer that is on the CRB or BOD.
Can we give it up for Mike for all the hard work in 2011?:thumbsup::thumbsup::beer::beer::beer:
I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if anyone was streaming on a laptop, ipad, or android and giving updates.
"Dorsey says you need to find the rain line. Push, Push!"
Great race. Congrats Brian. Looks like the Waterford Hills contingent is doing very well this Runoffs.
Ken
I have been watching the speedcast coverage which has been pretty good on the single class races, but is there live timing too?
Here is the quote from the DSR forum about the carbon springs...
"Next is a picture of Chris Farrell's new Hyper Coil springs they appear to be a carbon fiber belleville washer designed to be...
Makes you cringe even more when you think about going that fast and hitting a deer like DaMatta did.
Mazda just announced, as part of their support announcement for 2012 IMSA lites, was that the 2.3 liter engine used in the DP02 in IMSA will be swapped out for the 2.0l MZR Mazda engine for 2012...
There needs to be 10 to make it "official", right?
Sorry to hear about your weekend, Ian, but your entry was crtical for the class so it is appreciated. Thanks and good luck ext season.
The by all means, just wrap it with a carbon sticker. Same effect.
Not whizzy enough. How much for a carbon fiber version.:D
The Proshifter in the past has had problems with the solenoid actuator due to heat issues in the engine compartment. I think the PS3 system has advertised they have solved those problems. John Berg...
JohnPaul,
My 06 GSXR that was sent to Dean for a remapping, going through was dyno'd at 171 to the wheels on his motorcycle dyno. There were 2 others in that time frame that were very close....
I think Dave Gomberg said FB needed 26 entries prior to Miller(SCCA's numbers). Miller had 20, Pocono had two, so that leaves 4 more.
That is your personal opinion and that is fine. Of course, it doesnt necessarily have to be projected on everyone else so that is a part of a rules package.
I read a comment on a similar thread...
Kinda like Saleen or the Can Am Mcleagle?
Great job by the Pro Series for such a big field. They bascially picked up 1/3 of the remaining required entries for FB to hit the 2.5 mark again for 2011. I think FB needed 62 or 63 entries in the...
Lets just hope it doesn't use the sensor fault (assuming sensors disconnected) as an issue to put the ECU in a limp mode with low rev limit. This is not a rules problem, but a performance issue....
Cool trophies. When I first read the post, I thought the pictures were of the dead soldiers left over from the party.
Just because you wrap it, doesnt mean you won't have to do a lot of prep. As a former owner of a Stohr FB, I know that you will have to do a bit of sanding so the wrap won't look like the surface of...
Don't give those guys any more ideas.
Wren, for all Citations, the FB rules are that you have to run FF aero. And take that F1 inspired automatic shifter that shifts based on speed, rpm,...
Jon,
Hang in there brother. Tony has some sage advice.
Think F1. The Renault engine is the same in the Red Bull as the Renault factory cars but there is no comparison in performance....
