old school formula ford race
Just as a thought, the northeast already has what I think is a very successful and well run vintage (old school ) series with VRG.
Maybe people should be talking to them.
They had a 3 race series to celebrate the 45th that was well attended.
32 cars for Summit in May, 22 at Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix at PIRC and 17 at NJMSP in Sept. They also have rounds at VIR,Thompson and the Glen.
The cars run to Monosposto rules on treaded tires.
The only difference between racing with them and the SCCA competition wise, is that you better be well alongside the car you are passing as any car to car contact due to a low probablity move will not be tolerated.
I'd say that seems fair.
There are some other things such as your fast lap of any session always sets the grid no matter what your finishing position. That takes some getting used to, but can make things more challenging trying to gain position during the race if the 2 are different.
