Default 2006 Winter Sim League Race 2 - VIR Full Course

Race 2 takes us to the VERY well done track made by MHz. From what I hear it's the real deal in terms of accuracy to the real VIR. It's recently been updated, so please download the latest version HERE

According to older races, you'll need to be in the mid 40 lap times to be competitive. I may practice for a bit tonight so IM me if interested.

Was that mid 40 as 45.00 or was that 40.5? You understand my concern when I take my first laps and run a 1:49!!!!!

I meant as in 45. Don't worry Siz, you dominated my record book standings with laps in the 42s. I'm sure you'll be back there. My fastest lap to date is in the 43s.

Okay, here's a really Dumfooly question. Is VIR this coming Tuesday??

    and SIZZLER:
Don't know if you built your driving seat yet. But, if not take a look at the collapsable aluminum tubing one that Kbee00 built. It would certainly slide in under a desk for getting close to the monitor and would fold up out of the way when not in use. Nice unit and he offers parts list/instructions or finished product.

Yes, VIR is TOMORROW. All of our races are weekly unless something comes up. See you tomorrow. We'll probably be practicing tonight too for a little bit.

    RESULTS ARE UP

This was a close one. There were several that were all capable of winning it and even after the third heat, we were still wondering who's win it was. Since I was consitently in the top 3, it was me. Ron Jones has taken a lead in the points as we head into Sebring for league event 3.

That was some close wheel-to-wheel, nose-up-your-!! racing The difficulty of VIR left the out come of every heat in suspense till the last lap. Great sport it was! Thanks for hosting the BBQ after the event Keith.

One advantage of running the server in thick mode is, out of control cars are much more 'stable' (if that makes sense lol). The game engine can 'fix' their position on the track much better. Thus, they can be avoided more easily.
