Yes it was a 1st Gen FE when I bought it. The 5 speed was shredded at Mid Ohio last year (race video below). I installed the SADEV this April along with silver hyper coils. It still has the 2.3L 1st Gen engine.

I ended on a pretty good note for '23. This race weekend was cut short with no Qualifying race for an unexplained reason, but the sessions I was running were fun. The Mid Ohio rain line was in full effect.

Watch this tutorial video I made. It was for a street car, but the principals are exactly the same and I use the same equipment as then. In an open wheel or dedicated race car heat will be the enemy; that and vibrations. My mics overheat by session end and crackle now. The mic capsule will unscrew itself too.
