    Default Mirror vibration

Finally got the car on track for more than 8 minutes. Let the fun begin!

The mirrors vibrate so much I can't see anything.

Are mine missing some dampening material or something?

That's a lot of play in the bottom hole. Put in a grommet that tightly matches the post, drilling out the housing if necessary. Or replace the mirrors. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/us/spa-...mirror-246438/
I'm not sure about shipping and tariffs these days, I got a pair 6 months ago for about $100.

Just replace them. They are larger than most 'race' mirrors, but that can only be good as you get used to the car. I also put foam between the frame and the bodywork that holds the mirror to suppress the CAR vibration from the mirror - made a TON of difference.

    Thanks for the info!

Do you know what kind of foam to use? I was thinking maybe rubber sheet between the body and mirror.

I used roll bar padding and compressed it between the bodywork and the frame rail. Still there after 6 years, and still keeping the mirror 'useful'
