Just finished grinding and shaping the oil scraper to clear the spinny-rotating pieces in the motor. Question is it's obviously compressed by the oil pan, but are you Super Black silicone'ing it down first to the block, then contact cementing down the cork gasket to the block first (using a larger socket to smooth it out) ?

Then after inserting the end half moon rubber gaskets with Super Black applying a sufficient bead of Super Black all around the metal dry sump pan ? (metal with the "ribbed" mating surface to properly seal the pan to the block and cork ?

First time re-assembling a Kent motor and each manufacturer/race motor seems to have different tricks and steps on re-assembly.
