    Default Race wear near silicone valley

    I’m in Mountain view I wonder if there are shops which have a good selection of gloves suits etc not too far from me. Thanks,

    The closest full service shops to you are Wine country motorsports at Sonoma Raceway near Hiway 37 and 121, about an hour and 30 minutes from Mountain View. The other is I/O Port Racing in Lafayette. He is mostly mail order, but does see customers by appointment.

    There is another one, can't remember the name off the top of my head, in the oakland area I believe. Bob Boothe sells pyrotect products among many others. It'll come to me after I finish this posting.....

    You're right, Bob Boothe had Bell Safety in Oakland. Bob sold the business to Bell Racing shortly before he passed about 15 years ago.. Reminds me of the story about a bottle of super secret "Tire Stik" left on the pit wall before a rain race at Portland.

    I/O port racing is still there in lafayette. I know someone who went there just a week or two ago.
