Default Ferrari Columbo 250 Engine Question

Does anybody know why the GTO engine has two large oil filler pipes, one on each side of the engine?
I am in the midst of a model car project.
    Thanks
    Marty

    Default Dual Vents

Based on my minimal knowledge of other Ferrari engines I believe that those are combination filler/vents. The engine needed two vents and there was no downside to making them both filler as well.
