What is the minimal trailer width to accommodate the typical mid-year Van Diemen? I need a simple and inexpensive trailer to move the car about. Will five (5) foot wide do it?

I did a 14x6 Vnose with plenty of room with tires mounted on a 96 VD and happy with the experience. Plenty of room for stuff. Not sure about 5 foot with transport tires.

Are you sure that's a 14x6? That would be extremely uncommon while 14x7 is a dime a dozen standard trailer.

I don't see a world where that's going in a 5' wide trailer which would have a rear door of like 4'8 at best. Frankly, I am surprised and skeptical it would even go into a 6' wide; our 98 Van Diemen narrow track was around 70" wide.

I have a 95FF so no wings and just fit a 16x7. I'm guessing at least one wing would need to come off to fit.

You are right it was 14x7. (Checked sales ad and never removed wings) The Miata trailer was 14x6(open single axle) ?*?

Dad was running a featherlite 14x7 but door was 6’ 6” at door for his RT5. (Narrow car!)

The door opening on my solovee trailer is 64 inches. My Reynard 88f most definitely won't go into it.

May I ask what are the lateral outside dimensions of both the fore and aft corners with drys. I have found a possible utility trailer to move my car about.
