Default Zetec - throttle spring plate

On the Zetec intake, there is an anodized aluminum plate that holds the throttle cable and return springs. Found it broken, and on inspection of second car, showed the same plate cracked. FYI -inspect before the next season guys.

    Default Throttle pedal stop

One particular thing that puts too much stress on that plate is not having a throttle-pedal stop in the correct position to prevent too much cable tension. I'm very careful in setting mine up to minimize that issue.

That over-tension situation will occur every time at full throttle unless the pedal stop is set correctly and will eventually fatigue the bracket in exactly that spot.
