    "ex-Dave Weitzenhof"
Why isn't it lime-green on one side? HMM?
Looks as good as it did 40 years ago. Best of luck with the sale!

Regardless of pedigree it's a spotless car. Looks 'right' too.

    Default Grrrr.......

I have watched the Bateman's with this car in the Toyo series for a few years now. And I've always said I would LOVE to spend a weekend driving this. Hopefully, this gorgeous car stays in Canada and in the Toyo series (for you prospective American buyers, it is prohibitively expensive, legally intensive, and not worth the brain damage to try to repatriate the car so don't even consider it!).

Of course, I am joking . But I will be very sad to see this go. GLWTS

Wasn't there a similar car on the market in the east like 5 years ago? isn't this the same car? I thought I saw a picture of it at lime rock.

According to info on my unofficial registry, Jeff got this car 5 years ago this month! Great memory!

I recall walking around (and drooling over) this car in Steve Lathrop's shop the winter of '85-'86 and Steve telling us how some corners would call in #67 Green and others would call in #67 Orange...must've been a good chuckle (or nightmare) for F&C.

    Default FF

This is a really well designed package, certainly one of the best looking FF in the updated era. Kind of makes me think of racing again which I really shouldn't do. Easy to see Lathrop's thoughts in this car as he was very helpful in set ups for my March.

Definitely a good looking car, and I would possibly be interested, but it looks like it's a tight fit for anyone 6'0" and over, and more likely, anyone over 200lbs. Chassis opening looks narrow, but it is a very good looking Formula Ford.

Generally, Citations, including this one, have room for large drivers. Steve always designed them so he would fit, and he's not small.

Steve is (was? ) 6'2" and 225 pounds. We fit drivers who were 6'3" and 260 pounds, up to one guy who was 6'7".

In other words, you have to be a linebacker or an NBA center to have a hard time fitting.

Thank you. Do they use the "broom stick" rule in Canada regarding helmet clearance. Any issue with the "broom stick" rule for the 84 Citation?

There shouldn't be, but it depends on your seating position. If you sit very upright and/or forward it might be an issue. Low and reclined, you should pass the test.

Up here if you jump over a broomstick three times you are married...... (Or is it divorced?). If you are referring to the roll bar clearance for your helmet, there is lots of room to snuggle down further if you are taller than I am --6.0 feet.

As for room, while you do have to twist your shoulders to clear the roll cage to get in, there is lots of room inside -- it's a bit like the tents in "Harry Potter", not much to see from the outside, but big once you are in ......

    Default Vintage FF

Even though it is a 1984, the Citation will not be "vintage" or "club Ford" eligible due to the front and rear on-board suspension, correct?

Correct. But some vintage organizations allow "FF3" (or some designation other than FF or CF) to include such newer FFs. But not uniformly across vintage organizations. Consult the vintage organization near you where you'd like to race it.
