Just saw a thing to do alignment with a phone. I guess the angle measuring capability of a phone is That good?
Anyone tried it and have feedback?
Not sure if Data Acq and Analysis is the right Forum, but it’s all electronics.

I saw that and was intrigued about it. I'm not a big fan of pay as you use apps but if the accuracy and time savings are there it might be a way to go versus setting up strings and such. If I was smart I'd build tow bar setups but I don't do alignments very often.
I'd check both the repeatability, and check its resolution ability.
i.e. check alignment with your normal method, then check with the app;
make a change to the alignment of the sort of magnitude you'd do in a typical test, eg 1/16 toe change;
then use the app again to see if it spots the subtle change.
looking forward to feedback from you guys trying this
cheers

I bought it paid for the lifetime subscription since it was only 130 bucks or so. Currently working with the developers to fix some issues because the measurement method doesn’t work on a lot of sports car wheels. I have suggested a redesign of the 3D printed case and a rethink of how the software works in several areas. I will keep you guys posted.
Hi all,
Cofounder of Gyraline here (and long, long time Apex Speed lurker-first post and been a member since 2012....) I have a Spec Racer Ford, been eyeing formula cars for years. I'm hoping this post isn't against forum rules. We really are trying to provide a service that has been unmet in the industry (giving easy alignments to the masses).
I know Michael has been in touch with our team, but if anyone has any questions feel free to reach out to us at Sales@gyraline.com. We are still a very small start up grown out of some racing/car friends who were tired of strings alignments and crap alignments from shops (and the hassle).
We're open to suggestions and improvements and WANT to hear from people and their experiences with the system so we can make it better. Anyone here on Apex is exactly who we want to hear from.
Also just a note, our Android version is still in Beta and depending on your device, it may or may not be accurate. We are still working on that. Gyraline DIY is best on recent iOS devices, in the Gyraliner case. Also, as Mike is learning from our team, if the Gyraliner doesn't work on your wheels or setup... we want to hear about it and we'll work with you to custom make you a case that works with your wheels/setup. We are constantly improving the product to work with as many wheels/setups we hadn't yet heard about

I just downloaded and tried to test Gyraline on Samsung S24 Ultra. App said my device isn't accurate enough. Are there any updates on Android compatibility?
