Default Spectator questions for Summit Point SVRA/FRP 8-2024

Morning! Found the forums after discovering the joy of the FF1600 on iRacing. Soon discovered Summit Point is only an hour or so from my home, so I've been planning to get down there in August for the SVRA/FRP event.

I'm only able to make it on Saturday, and haven't been to a race in person since the 2nd Baltimore Grand Prix years ago.

Finding schedules and spectator info has been a challenge. Most of the event info for the FRP stuff is actually found by following their driver registration links.

Has there been a race schedule for the event posted somewhere yet? How early will cars be running? Is there a lot of last minute shuffling at events based on an abundance, or lack, of entries in various classes?

What should I know as a 1st time spectator at Summit? Ear protection? Any shade? Is there an awesome spot to post up with my camera to get some good pictures?

Very preliminary schedule from SVRA site. Expect numerous changes between now and event.

Saturday will be a full day with qualifying and races for F/F and Challenge cup. F/2000 and Atlantic should have a
race also. Summit has lots of good Photo options and a good snack bar also.Come hang with the Challenge cup folks
who should have the largest field.

One of my favorite viewing places is the bleachers across from Station 5 (infield at the bottom of the Chute). You can see cars exiting T4, coming down the Chute, braking hard for T5, going through the Carousel, and out toward the bridge.

Oooh fantastic- I didn't even think to look up other series websites lol. And there is some amazing info there including some Roos Bentley videos that should be a fun binge (love his podcasts).

    Thank you!
