    Default FIA Rainlight Mounting Ideas

    Hey guys,

I recently bought the Cartek rectangle shaped rainlight and haven't installed it yet. Before I go rummaging through my garage for bits and pieces of aluminum to cobble some half-ass bracket together, I thought I'd check with you guys for fabrication and installation ideas. I'm sure some of you have come up with some pretty good installs. Hopefully others will benefit from this thread as well.

So, let's see those photos of brackets you made and location of install. What do you like about your installation, what don't you like about it?

I'll be installing mine on a FF with an LD200.

Thanks in advance for the ideas,

    Ethan

    Ethan,
If your LD200 has the wing mounting block you might be able to easily adapt my bracket with some spacers:

I used two very simple aluminum angle pieces to attach it to the wing uprights (with some rubber dampening).

I tried (semi-successfully) to keep the FIA label visible, and put pictures of it in the log book (along with the last time I weighed the fire bottle).

I designed and 3d printed my bracket. I could easily adapt it to fit the LD200 wing mount bosses. Just message me and pay for shipping if you want.

Or just get a small sheet of aluminum, bend it twice and drill holes for the studs, super simple.
