Default Jefferson 500 - Awesome Vintage FF Racing

The following video is my highlights from the 2024 Jefferson 500. Lots of exciting action. Onboard with a 1977 Royale RP24 on treaded tires. Great racing all weekend. Field consisted of 36 vintage fords... good times.

    Default Wow, Maestro!!

    Jake,

that was amazing to watch and a bit humiliating! So often you had the car 'gone' and fetched it back. If I have two of those moments a race and finish I feel great! You and Lisa have a good thing going! Congratulations on all you got done last weekend as a driver. Awesome!

In the first Act I see 4 cars that seem to have a reasonable equality in straight line speed and then a few that seem to have quite a lot more oomph. Didn't really get that from watching the live stream which was also very entertaining. VRG did a great job putting the footage on-line. Your onboard gave a great second perspective of the action. thanks for sharing!

My hands were worn OUT after watching your 'wet' vid. Excellent control! Under demanding conditions.
Also like the Danny Sullivan going into T5 in the dry. A bit of luck always helps

Thanks Steve! We unfortunately found out after the feature race we were getting just under 3/4 throttle, resulting in us having no pace on the straights. The bolt behind the pedal that acts as a stopper vibrated loose and backed out. I think we could've won it. Had a blast in the huge field of Fords. I'll definitely return to VRG at some point, they put on a great event.

I knew something was off. I was wondering if you had the wrong 4th gear in the car since you were not getting peak revs at the end of the straight and getting beat on 4th gear acceleration but this explains it.
