If you're looking for the ultimate in cars of this type, there are a few machines available right now that can compete successfully in BMOD, but are not "open wheel" Fair bit more of your ca$h than the above, but you'll never get in anything with more pure performance than a BM car!

Would like to stay around $12k all in, but flexible for the right car / package.
I have a cool Formula VW based Autocross, Hillclimb/track day Sports Racer in Sac/Northern California if you are interested. Sports racer with Air cooled VW engine. 4 speed trans. Basically a large Formula Vee with a stainless Steel Formula sports racer body and Modified late model VW front suspension, and a 2000cc Type 4 VW air cooled motor. Built to run the West Coast autox/hillclimb events as an A Sports Racer. Quick car at 850 lbs.
