If all else fails, try McMaster-Carr. They carry a range that looks like it will suit.
Looks like a misalignment bush for a rod end or spherical bearing. What size is it?
If you can PM me the dimensions I can see if we have anything similar. Since acquiring the NP01 program from Elan we inherited many old Van Diemen parts and part numbers that we still use on our cars. The oldest VD part number dates from 1984 and was a top hat bush like yours, although we have since re-drawn the part and given it an NP01 part number!
I called them top hat bushings too. Brad knew what I meant. These are the sizes used on my car.

Ben, is that actually a bushing that goes inside the rod end, or is that washer at the end of a single shear setup like a balljoint (it looks like the latter to me).
