CM Tires for FF - Great News

As you know Hoosier Racing Tire discontinued the 22.5x7.2-13 rear tire.

Hoosier will commit to building 60-43305R20 22.5x7.2-13 R20 CM rear tires.

We need to have the order for 60 tires submitted to Hoosier by the week of 4/29.

They will build them for an early July delivery.

All the tires will be sold thru R & S Racing.

We (R&S Racing) will accumulate the orders and ship the tires.

We will require payment before the order is placed with Hoosier.
The orders are non-cancelable and nonrefundable.

Are we thinking this is limited to 60 or just a minimum of 60?
Do we think this is a one time thing exception to the aforementioned streamlining processes referenced by Jim or a “batch cook solution” for the foreseeable solution. Each answer will inform how quickly and how many tires I order….

New information from R&S Racing regarding the CMod rear tires. Just came in a minute ago ... R&S spoke with Hoosier and they will take as many tire orders as we can give them. Although we have to order at least 60 tires for them to manufacture them, if we order more they'll make more. And critically, if we order a lot of tires they will consider making them beyond this year! So please order your tires.

Are they making them in the R20 compound? I only see R25 listed on the R&S website. Is this one of those "you have to call" things?

Hoosier isn't making the R25 compound anymore.

I just received an email from Sonya that says our new rear tires are A7 compound not R20.
They will send us new tires in early August.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Will be competing inthe Finger Lakes Tour on burned out tires. Not that I've been threatening anyone on the PAX recently but now, not so much.

Looking forward to the correct tires in August. **** happens I guess.

I'm impressed that they not only made 60 tires with the wrong compound, but 10 of them (17%) were spoiled.

Sonya told me there's a percentage that is always spoiled. I don't know what the typical rate is though.

Just got an email from Sonya. Hoosier managed to screw up enough of the new batch of 60, that I'm getting 4 tires instead of the 6 I ordered. Of course, Sonya instantly refunded the difference.
