    Default encased rubber bushing

Where can I find these? I need 1 inch outside dia, 1 inch long with a 7/16" hole. I know they are out there somewhere but I can not seem to able to find them. Thanks.

    a couple of thoughts:

Looks similar to those on Lotus 23... try Lee Chapman: http://www.leechapmanracing.com/

Also, looks like bushing on Westfield 7 or 11... don't have contact for that....might have a couple of arms on shelf, would need to check dims. but those have bushings are already installed..

    Default Bushing

    As Bob L said, Lee Chapman has some. The closest that I see as to what you are seeking is;

    P/N X023D6011Z
    Lower Wishbone Bush
    7/16 I.D. x 15/16 O.D. x 1-3/8 Long
    Chrome Moly Steel Inner Sleeve
    $23.50

I found this for a Lotus 18 but they are also used on other models.
It might help to know what you are working on.

Thanks for the help so far guys but nothing has panned out so far. Checked all of the above. The parts I need are used for the motor mount bolts to go through the frame on a Merlyn MK29A. Thinking that they are 1" in diameter, I thought they would be easy to find.

    Graham,
these are yours for postage if you can make either pair work:

    1.063 dia x 1.067 long w/ .5 hole

    or 1.065 dia x 1.378 long w/ .5 hole

Thanks Ian for the offer. I will keep those in mind if I can't find the others. The thing is the cast aluminum motor mounts have the 7/16" unf thread which the bolt goes into. Thanks

    Default Bushings

Triumph used these on the front and rear suspension, Spitfires, Tr6. Don't remember the size, Moss Motors has some.

Check for leaf spring bushings. You will have to cut them to length but you might just find what you are looking for OD and ID size wise.

You might consider making some solid bushings out of steel. I cracked several gearbox cases on my Merlyn -025 before I figured out what was happening. The gearbox ears are mounted solid to the rear frame but the engine is allowed to move around because of those bushings.

Didn't think of the motor moving around and the trans solid. There was a pretty good crack in the tranny magnesium housing I had welded up.
    Thanks Wes.

I'd expect Silentbloc was probably the original supplier.....there were several durometer grades, but haven't seen the catalogue in the chaos here for several years.

    Silentbloc is one manufacturer,

Metalastik brand has a very wide product line.

Neil Porter stocks several sizes for Crossles.

Dave Bean or JAE Parts in Santa Barbara also stock them.

Did you ever locate this bushing? My '88 Reynard FC uses the same fully bonded bushing and identical dimensions on the front engine spider that ties to the frame. 1" OD, 7/16" ID 1" W

My current bushing is tired with the rubber no longer bonded.

    Thanks

    John

They sound like Crossle 30 series motor mount bushings. Call Neil Porter in California. 209-722-7373
