Just found a can full of what I think are FT or FG dog rings - 2 new, and 8 used- and probably 35 years old ( or more). Anyone got one that they can measure tho outside diameter so that I can verify these as FT/FG?

Looks like these may be DG dogs. They are 2.352 ID.
We run a DG232 dog ring in two FT's and a DG. The DG232 OD is 3.590 and ID is 2.350. Across the dogs DG232 is .500. A DGB dog which looks identical is .600 across its dogs. There were also FT232 dog rings that were the same size as the first reverse slider at 2.5 ID.
Looks like these are DG232 then, as they are .500 across the dogs.
