    Default WTB 60s Formula B

Hi all, I recently drug my feet too long on making a decision and missed out on a Brabham FB here. You know how life can be. Sure there are pretty cars listed out there in the wild for "wild dreaming golden calf dollars", but just wanted to put out there and see if anyone is looking to part with a car. My preference is to a Brabham or Chevron. Open to a car that may need some love, but would prefer something running. I always wanted a B as my personal "forever" vintage racer. Any leads are appreciated. Thanks, Casey!

    Default FB's for sale

    Casey,
    Try race-cars.com/carsales/fbs.htm

If you haven't wrenched on FB's before, I'd suggest finding a knowledgeable mechanic to look the car over before you buy one. They can also help you plan your budget.

They are a ton of fun, but can get expensive and need TLC. But that's just my opinion comparing the cost to run my FB vs. my FF.

If I was looking for a Brabham, I'd contact David Irwin and see what he has to say. He may know where all the Brabhams are!

    Default Yep....

It was David's that I missed out on. Was busy with travel and took too long to decide. Also, I appreciate the consideration in the earlier comment, but I'm not a novice when it comes to race prep. I just wanted a FB car as a quick and pleasant little vintage racer that is fast enough to be fun for me, a bit romantic, and is simple to look after in comparison to other cars. Based upon auction results and watching markets for forever, I think most FB cars are 20-30% overpriced on the market right now. Just my opinion mind you. When an FB car starts costing as much as a nice F5000 car, thats a bit much.

There is an immaculate Winkelman TC powered FB car for sale, you can access it on CSRG's site and I think it was on Apex Speed as well. I have seen the car and it was done right and the TC was very strong. The Winkelman cars were pretty similar to a BT21. It actually was listed on the race-cars site on 7-5-21. Good pictures as well.

Cool site! Have never seen that one, thanks.

My old Brabham BT-16/21 is on there currently for sale. Great car, wish I had kept it.
