Good to hear he is back home but it sure sounds like there is a long way to go for significant recovery. I hope he gets his speaking back with a clear mind to go with it. No one could approach his commentary and quick wit despite what he was stuck with. My favorite line of his was when on the phone with Mario after his accident was something like " Mario, so they are going to give me new legs so how tall do you think I should be?" My guess is that Andretti was on the floor after that! Hope to hell we get the old Alex back soon!
I rarely consider people who make a living doing things I do for fun to be heroes, but this guy is a hero, in capital letters. I wish him all the best in his recovery, and if ever I am tempted to whine, I hope I remember his example before I open my mouth and embarrass myself.
