We lost Bruce a few weeks ago. Always raced me clean. Always a gentleman off the track too.
Who knows?
Maybe it was because he walked away from racing a few years earlier?
Sure makes the argument to keep on keeping on.
RIP

Regarding Bruce, One of the finest people I ever met period. Made any room better when he walked in.
Has a large framed picture in his house near Mosport from the old Atlantic days On the grid. Giles Vilanuve on the second row, Bobby Rahal and Bruce on the front row. Says it all. Sorry about the name spelling. Been fighting cancer for many years.
I miss him.
Skip Weld
The moment I saw his name on the forum home page I knew why it must be there. And damn.
Bruce was a close friend of my father's (gone since 2009), and I knew him from childhood visits, and later on, from the times he got us access to the paddock and even the pits for the Indy Car races in Vancouver.
I'd always hoped he'd get a chance to come to one of my races. I didn't start until after my Dad was gone, and it would have been fun to share it with someone who was a part of making me want to go racing.
