Do FST’s make good autox cars?
Don't think a FST is your answer. An F500 should fill the bill.

Any car can be a good car to start autocrossing. You'll learn a bunch. Jazz up the engine and have even more fun. Lots of good solo events in your area. Check out some of the Corvette club ones. You can enter without a Corvette, and they tend to be faster courses.
Next thing you know, you'll do a time trial at Roebling Road.
Then you'll do the Roebling Road drivers school....
Then....
Absolutely. You'll be stuck in CM with all us Formula Ford people, but we will welcome you just the same. I think there was even a Vee at nationals last year.
I also co-drive a C5 Z06 in CAM-S when I'm not at the wheel of the FF in CM. It's a totally different style of driving, and a whole different type of fun. You'll love it.
As the owner of both a FF and a solovee, I can tell you the FST will be slower than either. You won't be competitive, but you will have fun.
