Anyone have a breakdown by chassis and engine?
Posted results have chassis/engine listing: https://www.scca.com/downloads/52332...ional/download
In short, 3 Ford / 11 Honda, 5 Mygale, 2 Spectrum, 2 Swift, 2 Van Diemen, 1 Citation, 1 Piper, 1 Vestial...
Thanks Chris!
Anyone have a link to watch the race? SCCA.com has two cameras showing, but I don't know if the actual race coverage will replace these stationary camera feeds or not.

Simon was on 5 session old Hoosier radials (spec). Two 25 min FRP races and two 22 min runoff qualifiers before the final 22 min session. Lots of pace and life left yet!

I've never met Mr. Bartz but have followed his progress in prior Run-offs and would love to see him score a gold. He's plugged along and driven better and better. He's due for things to go his way. Good luck Jeff!

Congrats to Tim! 4 time champion in FF. Wow, what a race! I still can't believe Kautz saved it after getting so sideways in 1. Incredible talent in the entire front pack.

That was a heck of a race - it is why I picked this class. Easily the best I have seen in a long time. Amateurs, pros, credentialed and locals - doesn't get any better. I think this class is poised for a great resurgence of interest. A special congrats to my Van Diemen buddy Jeffrey Bartz.
Congratulations to the whole FF field!!!
I look forward to racing against and with you in the FRP and Majors.

Wow, that was an exciting race! So much talent out there today.![]()
Been enjoying all of today’s races immensely!
FF was almost like the old days up front (though having 85 less cars than the ‘75 Sprints!), last lap was great, but we got to Turn 13.6 and lost signal!!!
Later I learned who won, but the whole thing was about as frustrating as the Nadia scene in American Pie...
Congrats to all on a great race.
Congratulations to Robert Perona for making the podium - his ability to get that finish is especially impressive because of his job in Indycar that allows him very few opportunities to get to play with his own toy.
I'm about convinced that the guys with real talent don't need the track time, and the guys with limited talent [me] can't get enough out of it to matter. Really, there was so much talent out there today it was just awesome. Can't wait till they get the videos up so I can watch it again

I haven’t seen an official declaration yet, but rumors going around in impound would seem to indicate that penalties for passing under yellow will affect the podium.

As of 10 AM Sunday, SCCA shows provisional results with Tim as winner. I had forgotten about the yellow flag incident, as the race was so exciting to watch. The commentators thought he might have gotten it completed before the flag, if I recall correctly. Considering that it happened on lap 2 or so, and the continuous back and forth all race, I doubt it made much difference in the end result, but it's a rule for a reason, and has to be enforced, for everyone's safety. Not sure how it will be judged, or even how it should be judged, but both Tim and Simon are worthy winners, and put on a great show..

I was watching near the 'big screen' from the outside of T1 and it looked to me like Tim got alongside coming out of T1. The flag station for T2, I think, is driver's right just before the bridge. IMHO, Tim would be been about equal at the point they passed the flag station. I would think that would be 'close enough' for no penalty.... but the stewards rule the determination .. if there was a call for it. The PA announced that the station DID call in the pass, but we don't know how much detail they might have included.

Not sure where Cliff got his results from, but I just got back from Driver Information where the SOM actions are posted. There was NOTHING from the FF race yesterday. Of course it COULD still be pending since the SOM 'board' doesn't get updated until any issues are resolved. Only very few of the total races to date have been 'officiated'. There are still no OFFICIAL results from FF and there ARE 'pending SOM actions'... but no info on whether FF is involved in any of them. I'm told that several actions are expected to be resolved and posted by about 10 AM, so I'll try to get over there again by lunch time to see if there is additional info.

On the broadcast on lap 2 or 3 the announcers were discussing a possible pass under yellow. Perhaps that is what has delayed the official results?

Hopefully the stewards are reviewing (appeal by Kautz?) everyone's video including any overall race video, etc., and will arrive at the proper decision. It would be a shame to have an inconclusive yellow-flag infraction take Kautz's win away. OTOH, if it was really a clear violation, the penalty obviously should stand.
Dave Weitzenhof
I saw plenty of other moves that are perhaps part of the stewards’ thoughts as well, including driving a competitor clear off the outside of 1 — and several sketchy blocks. Just my take...

This just arrived at Driver's info about 5 mins ago. Tim has been penalized SIX spots. Cliff apparently had some GOOD INFO .. except that the penalty was 6 instead of 5 spots. Per GC 6.1.1.B .. I presume that is PUY.
I'm up next, so this will be my last post of the day.

Congratulations to team Rice / problemchild. Well done!
Congratulations to everyone. It’s sad to see the results come out this way as I’m sure everyone would have liked to see this decision before the podium presentations if at all possible. Tim was aggressive all race, showing his speed & wanting to lead as much as possible. Great save in turn one as well with a lap or two to go.
Congratulations to all the FF drivers for putting on one of the best races of the Runoffs once again. Congrats Greg Rice & team.

I watched that pass and had a strong suspicion that it would be a long time before we saw final results.
Shame to see results impacted but there was a safety truck and incident right there in the corner
Simon backed out when he saw the yellow and then waved yellow, before the 88 passed both the 33 and 61.
Everyone in impound knew the corrected gold position about half an hour after the race when they rearranged the impound parking spots. The problem was that there were 3 protests over the other podium positions. The stewards were backed up with other protests, so never got to any decisions until about 8 pm. Then they never released the official results until 12:30 today and only released a media report late in the day. The SCCA process is what it is. Simon Sikes is world class young racer ( 14 FF or F1600 wins in the last 14 months) and is a worthy Champion!
