SOLD
Selling my 1983 Reynard setup for CMod autocross. I purchased the car in 2016 setup for road racing and converted it to an autocross car (new gears, removed the fire system, stiffened the rear springs a bit). I have loved every single minute in the car, but I didn't drive it all this year and I am getting the itch for a new street car.
This car was modified in 2007/2008 (by Bill Gendron at Small Fortune Racing) to fit a 6’5+ driver. This involved taking the car down to a bare frame and installing a taller roll hoop and a taller dash hoop. If you are under 6’, you would need to move the pedals and steering wheel and pour a new seat – which is all very possible without too much effort. I also had Bill perform a pre-purchase inspection in 2016 when I bought the car which found no issues. I can forward the PPI results to anyone who is interested.

Highlights:
- Modified to fit a tall (6’5”+) driver

- New SpeedHut gauges in 2019 (tach, water temp, oil pressure)
- Burns collector and muffler (very quiet)
- Extensive documentation
Extra Stuff:
- Engine cover (not shown in most recent photos) is included – I usually run without it
- Tail section (not shown in most recent photos) is also included – it doesn’t fit with the muffler installed but could be modified if you felt so inclined
- Quick jack
- Multiple sets of gears
- Extra set of (softer) rear springs
- Box of random spares
- I also have a spare nose which is unpainted and a little rough which will go with the car
Issues:
- Bodywork was bent and reformed to fit around the taller side intrusion bars – it’s not super noticeable but it bothers me
- Exhaust leak from one of the primaries – at some point it will need a new header
- Hewland rear cover weeps a bit of fluid (this is very common)
- Brake pads are getting low
- Fuel cell is 10+ years old and will probably need new foam at some point
- Trailer needs a new spare – I have a matching wheel with a bad tire
Trailer Info:
- 2011 Haulmark 14’ Low Hauler
- 7,000 lb GVWR
- Empty weight: Approx. 2,500 lbs
- Dual axle with electric brakes
- 64” interior height (tows really nice, but kind of annoying if you are tall)

- Race Ramps

There are also more videos on my YouTube channel. If you want to see some good driving, look for the ones with "Jeff" in the title. He usually beats me by about a second on most courses and does a much better job demonstrating the potential of the car.
I’d prefer to sell the car and trailer as a package, but the trailer will be available separately if it doesn't go with the car.
Thank you,
Dave
