For Sale 1977 Royale RP24 Formula Ford Project - PRICE REDUCED

Formula Ford project that is in good restorable condition. Missing shocks, pedals, radiator, master cylinders and nose cone. Motor turns freely but I haven't tried to run. Ford Kent is complete as is the Hewland MK9. Frame shows no evidence of damage. No spares or log books. Little history is know other than SCCA and Waterford Hills stickers on the car.

    PRICE REDUCED - $6800

Thanks for all the interest in the Royale! However, it is still for sale. I'll need to list elsewhere soon if the Apex readers aren't interested. I've added some new pictures showing the numbers stamped on the roll bar.

    Default Royale RP24

At one point, Shierson was importing these cars. He was in Adrian Michigan. I remember two cars running out of Waterford as new models. One was Vince Muzzin, his car was black gel coat and I can't remember who the other guy was. I know that Vince jumped to RP26 when they came out...

    Default Royale History

    FV and Dave,

Thanks very much for the picture and history of my Royale. I'll be checking out some period SCCA publications to see what I can find!

If there's an SCCA registration number stamped on the hoop that might help with identifying it, even if you don't have logbooks

I ran an RP24 in LOL region in the early 80s. Could it be the same car? Don't have any idea how to tell. I might take this on as a project, but the idea of finding a nose cone and shocks/springs is daunting.

These cars are still sought after in England and parts are readily available from several sources over there.

    Default Royale RP24

The shocks are easy. Anze Suspension (Angelo Zarra) can build you a set of Bilstein non-adjustable shocks at a reasonable price or a set of Penske adjustable shocks that will also do the job for a bit more money. You may also be able to determine the lengths yourself and locate something used here on Apexspeed.

Chris Shoemaker is the owner of Royale Racing LLC which owns the rights to Royale USA and Royale Racing LTD. They have (to my knowledge) all or the patterns, drawings and a barn full of body molds right here in PA. Chris lurks here occasionally but you can contact them through their website at http://www.royaleracecars.com. They may have the nose mold you need!

    Good luck, Joe

This is a 4-year old post... I would contact the seller directly to see if it's still available.
