This post is only my opinion.
If this project is to succeed it will not happen within the SCCA. I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE TRIED!
The first F600 i built, prototype 1, was not built to f500 specs it was a much larger car, longer WB and wider track. I made 2 very well prepared proposals and the SCCA killed the concept immediately anf forced us to build within the current F500 rules or go away.
So if you want to succeed then it will not be within the structure of the scca majors deal
I wish you good luck but i suspect that the business model will be very difficult.
Btw a 600cc mc engine in F500 right now are cars that are about 2 seconds a lap faster than FF cars.
If you want your project to fit within the confines of the scca then you must go the regional route. I think we should have done this and F600 would have succeeded as a viable and a seperate class..
Good luck!

I tried Jay's longer 600 car for fit at Road Atlanta and Elkhart Lake. It certainly was the right thing.
For safety. For larger drivers, For less skidish handling.
Oh well.
Just like when Jay turned a F500 engine around before the runoffs... SCCA says. "But we have never done it that way."
Jay is always kicking clack on their shoes.
And now after 50 years he doesn't have to spend membership fees to do it.
thanks Dr. Frog. Actually the longer one was at Road Atlanta the one at Elkhart Lake was to the 80" F500 WHEEL BASE RULES
I think there are several reasons why tha F5-6 class has not taken of like i had hooed and the main reason IMO is tha the cars are just too physically small for the general public.

Darn shame too. The F600 cars make a great sound!!!!
Sound like a F1 car before the current turbos and energy recovery.

Not trying to stir the pot, but post #7 way back in April offered details by "mid-summer".
Maybe 2+2=5, but has the recent Southern/RightTurn split had any affect on the progress of this idea?
If you mean this:
"No matter.. it will never gain traction.. anyone looking to buy av30k race car will want to compete in class with good competition :"
I fail to see the relevance to my post; sounds like you are merely reiterating your opinion, valid as it may or may not be. I was looking for a direct reply from the original poster.
I fully realize that. But he no reply to that question the many times it has been asked in this thread
