For Trade Hewland Mk 8/9 First / Reverse slider

Who knew! The parts list grows, and now I'm looking for a 1st / Reverse slider as well.

One of the Mk5 parts I brought to you was a 5 speed reverse gear/slider.. It may be with your 2.0L project.. It was the 'coarse tooth' gear, IIRC...

Are you building a Mk9 or a Mk5? I assume this is for the Saracen?

John, I am doing a Mk8 for a Beach. I know the gear of which you speak, but I couldn't find the idler for that coarse toothed slider.

    Another Beach? Nice

i thought I sent a coarse idler with it, but I may be mistaken (or it is still in my parts stash). I believe it would need a Mk5 layshaft to properly mesh, someone smarter than me could confirm that!

Just checked and I don't have any more 5 speed specific parts in my stash, sorry

do you have a good case yet? I have a nice unmachined 4 bolt case that I won't be using, it doesn't have the 3 bosses for an annular throwout - perfect if you use the external mechainsm.
