Wow, less than a month. Impressive!
Wow, less than a month. Impressive!
that website is so sad it's almost funny. dollar to a donut he doesn't even have access to the building in the picture. there's not a single car photo that isn't a rendering, stock photo or on display at an auto show
is it too late to get into the pool?
i'm sure that my winnings would more than cover a full season of racing with this august group.
too bad he's not located in the jurisdiction where my daughter works. she's a gendarme in the s.f. region.
as you can see from her photo, she knows a thing or three about racing,,,,,

Un-freaking believable..........
What's unbelievable is that he hasn't ripped-off the wrong person yet...
Easy on the threats, guys. No need for that here.
Okay :-)

or did we ? LOLOL
this guy is really nuts
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.
"A team with a storied heritage...."
If only his potential victims knew the nature of many of those stories.......
i can't believe IMSA even posted that to their site

I understand you can't collect a judgement from someone that's broke or a corp that is bk. It seems that as many times this guy has done what he does, eventually it could be fraud, in the criminal sense?
He is now peddling a P2 ride. Slinging the same hash as with any of his other deal.
On a side note i was contacted back in May by an individual that he was trying to con a PFM out of. He didn't get the car.
Interesting, the IMSA web link I posted in post#168 is no longer valid

Wow, I could make $30k a year as a full-time wrench...then pay $275/mo. rent back to them. Maybe not.

Fleet of 20 cars?
Interesting that he has 2019 events scheduled with SVRA. I wonder if Tony knows about this?

I don't doubt Tony would be happy to take his entry fees. Whether he gets his own run group is of course another question. And what happens if there's any serious racing within the group.
Couldn't help but notice this:
"Formula America utilizes the Mygale M14 Formula Americas race car, who's chassis is the basis for one of the most popular Formula cars in the World. "
I guess grammar never was Jon's strong suit. I do wonder where he got that photo of six cars all in a row on stands.
Caldwell D9B - Sold
Crossle' 30/32/45 Mongrel - Sold
RF94 Monoshock - here goes nothin'
curiouser and curiouser ...
all references to that EuroF4 are gone from their website, and a new schedule that's 90% different from the last one ...
While wondering through the many exhibits at PRI, turn the corner and POW.
Formula America
Jon (badged as John) told me he owns (20) cars and the drivers will just pay to play.
He and his people take care of everything.

Siebkens 150? I seriously doubt that. Didn't the Roadhouse by MO close?

If anyone wants to confirm then just call any of the tracks & confirm those dates for the run group listed or with whomever has rented the track for those dates. Shouldn't be hard to confirm or deny.

And for 2020 - "Our fleet of Formula BMWs" - 24 cars in the picture.
http://www.formulaamerica.net/fa-1.html
Are all the photos from European teams so it's hard to confront him?
You should have let me know, I have my picket sign and pamphlets all ready to roll.
He can't even keep the con straight from one paragraph to another. He says "a cost of only $150,000 for a full 24-race season with a generous Championship prize purse". Then, one paragraph later he says "The cost of a full season in Formula America is just $135,000 if paid in one payment or $145,000 if paid in installments, period. Nothing more. The Series schedule consists of 21 races". So what is it? $145k or $150k, and 24 or 21 races?
He is not on Road America's schedule, unless he is teaching how to ride a scooter. https://www.roadamerica.com/events.html So, he is going to rent and staff RA as a stand alone event, and pay out $150k if you win the series, $2,500 for a win, and charge $145k-ish for a year? Right.
If he owns all the cars, how come the photos on his website are the same that come up when you google 'Renault Formula 2.0'?
And FBWM? 2020? Huh? That flopped 20 years ago. What is it, a vintage FBMW event?
I find it very hard to believe Hinchcliff's manager let him do this. At that level, you would certainly do some hardcore vetting, or even a simple google search, on any wagon you hitch your horse to.

FBMW in 2020 ????
So we're to believe that Lewis has bought or leased that fleet of 22 AsiaCup cars to ship over to North America to run an abbreviated 4 event season .... sure, why not LOL

"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
Jonh/Jon Lewis on how he does it 'so cheap'; "we don't amortize our cars and equipment. They are just another cost of doing business."
Huh? So, you don't have to account for the cost of the cars? Revolutionary. I just cut my living expenses by 50% now that I don't have to account for my house!
You must've cut off part of the quote. I think the full quote is actually, "They are just another cost of doing business that is bared by naive racers that have never heard of me."
