Wanted To Buy Looking for enclosed 7' wide trailer

I am looking to purchase a 7' wide enclosed trailer to haul my 1967 Brabham BT21C (Formula B) or my 2000 Van Diemen (Formula F). Prefer 18-22' length trailer with or without a V nose. An all aluminum trailer would be nice.

On the west coast in northern California but willing to travel for the right trailer. Contact Paul at 916-983-2340 or prichins@jps.net

    Thanks, Paul---

    Hey Paul,

Good luck with that size trailer, I've see them 18 feet long but not 22 feet, 16 x 7 long are the norm.

It sucks we're looking for the same trailer kinda

Wanted To Buy Would like to purchase 7' wide enclosed trailer

I am looking to purchase a 7' wide trailer to haul my open wheel race cars. I would prefer a trailer 18 to 22' long. These are difficult to find. Contact me at 916-983-2340 or prichins@jps.net

I live in northern California but willing to travel a good distance for the right trailer.

    Thanks, Paul---

It's all the way across the country, but the south is just swimming in these things. It seems that guys here buy hals-tons, and the narrow trailers are easier to pull.

I'm moving back in July and if you want to work a deal I'm open to looking around out here. but the longer length is likely to be a problem.

Also, a lot of these trailers are made by a couple companies in georgia and are pretty crappy compared to a wells, hallmark, or carson.

    Default Will it fit

You sure the VD will fit in a 7' wide trailer. I have a 7' wide I used for a vintage racer and real hard to get the FF in there. The car fits inside the trailer but does not want to get by the door lift cables.

Oh, trailer size you are looking for is popular with snow mobilers.

    Default 7 foot trailers

No problem if you are looking for new. Bravo Trailers out of Indiana have it. I bought a 7 x 16, 2 years ago. Its called the Bravo Star. With V nose and any options you want (a/c, canopy, cabinets, electrical) They also make the same with an all aluminum frame. Reasonable prices. My best buddy liked it so much, he just bought an 7 x 18. ATC makes a 7' 6" which is really nice but its very pricey. As you probably know the 7' tow so much easier than the full width trailers plus you can see around it better. I tow with a new Tundra 5.7, works great. Check them out online. I am in NC and the freight was very reasonable to a dealer here. PM me for more details.

    Hi Paul,

Door width is the limiting factor on a 7 wide. I ended up with about 1 1/2" on each side for the rear tires to clear. Works well.

If you're still looking you might try giving Rick Thompson a call at Thompson Trailer in Fresno, CA. They can have it built to suit in Oregon.

I bought a 7' wide for my BT16 and it was HALF the price of the Haulmark I bought in 2008. Quality seems to be a bit better as well.

Depending on how far north in California you are you might also pick it up in Oregon and save the delivery fee.

These guys are racers from a racing family. I might also add, that rather than up-selling me, Rick came up with a few ways for me to get more trailer for less money.

Contact me if you want more specifics.

    Default Haulmark

I have a 7' x 20' Haulmark trailer that I haul a vintage Alexis FF. Works well. Older trailer in good condition and might be interested in selling but it's located in Ohio. I'm sure you can find something closer.
