Does anyone know the camber settings for a 97 Lola Lights car F & R?
Does anyone know the camber settings for a 97 Lola Lights car F & R?
Steve,
The only tire now available is from Avon, radials, fronts are the same size as my F3000 car as are the rears but are 13" rims instead of 15". We have been running 2 degrees f, and 1 degree rear. When in Japan on dunlops ran with 21/2 -3 degrees front and 1 1/2 degrees rear, radials also. A few guys with the 97 cars mentioned that they thought the fronts could be a little less than 2 degrees, rears at 1 degree work fine. Just looking for input while realizing geometry difference, roll, camber gain, etc may be completely different. Were the Firestones radial too?
Jerry like Steve said it depends on tire.
Also depends on the track and your overall set-up you have.
I was race engineer for Brian Stewart racing and I believe we were the softest and Tasman were the stiffest. We both had very good results. We ran less camber than they did if I remember correctly.
Good place to start would be -2.6 front -1.5 rear.
If you would like I could send our set-up for Firestones. Then you need to talk to your tire supplier and shock guy.
We ran on Dynamics, not sure what you have ?

The Firestone tires were radials. I ran -3.5 front and -1 rear at Mid Ohio.
Steve, thanks, do recall what settings you used at RA?
