It was a hell of a FF/FV/FJ turnout, a fair number of FB's, too. Some big cars, some Atlantics, and a few newer Lights cars. Pretty clean and the weather held off until after the races on Sunday, IIRC. Fun deal. Damned clean, AFAIK, in the formula car groups.

Rumor has it the same nut case that was at Coronado in group 9 went on to COTA and did even more damage.
Can anyone say " 13 month rule"
Dave-
Which driver? I was looking after a client in a Ralt RT1 and I only remember seeing one damaged car after only one session this past weekend, in the Atlantic group anyways. I'm sure lots of sedans crashed (but who cares about those). We (open wheel group) didn't have a single black flag all the whole weekend, starting Wednesday morning thru Sunday afternoon. There were a boatload of Toyota powered Atlantics there, you should've brought your Ralt. Lots of competition throughout the field. It was a good week.

Eathan,
COTA would have been fun, but I am thinking of hanging it up after Coronando and the fowl mouth talk with Tony CEO of SVRA
stay tuned I will list my Penske rt5 and Ralt rt 41 here.
All The Best,
Dave
I didn't see any carnage in the Group 2 races. Dan Cowdrey in his Titan Mk-6 won all 3 Formula Ford races behind the Formula B cars. On the start of the Group 5 race someone either blew an engine or broke an axle (the reports were not consistent) and 3 or 4 cars were involved. All the drivers walked away.

From what I could follow from live timing and results ... the new owner and driver of the Chinook MK-IX were on the heels of Cowdrey for every session of group 2. They tried very hard to have a Canadian Car and Driver up front in Monoposta. Maybe next year.
Daniel Burkett in his Chinook certainly kept Dan honest. In the last race they were wheel to wheel for a while. It was fun watching the two of them holding off the Swifts and Crossles.

Roland:
After I solved the high rpm miss in the engine that plagued my Swift in the first two races (caused by a faulty Pertronix Rev Limiter), I wasn't "held off" any longer. Here's the video. Unfortunately, my Liquid Image camera has a 30 minute auto shut-off. I turned it on too early in the staging grid and didn't get the entire race.

I talked to Dan at the awards table after he asked what happened to me...
After passing them both and leading for several laps, I had built a 15 second gap on the 2nd PCF car that was running behind them, which virtually locked me in for the class championship and a Bell helmet. I didn't want to jeopardize my situation, or interfere or influence the outcome of the FF Class Championship race between the two Dan's going on close behind me, so I pulled up and let them by to race it out between themselves. I lapped at a comfortable pace for the rest of the race and still finished 8 seconds ahead of the 2nd place PCF car.
I really respect both of their driving skills. They drove the crap out of those slippery Hoosier Vintage FF tires. I was happy to have had the opportunity to see a really great race "up-close and personal".
Nice drive Genn and congratulations on your PCF Championship!
Now that you have won this Championship you do know that you have forfeited your rights to complain about the Toyo tires right?
See you next year my friend
