Default Formula car restoration shop- Midwest

Looking for recommendations for experienced formula car retoration shops around Detroit/ Midwest region.

Appreciate inputs from businesses, and those that have first-hand experience.

    Thanks!

I think Gordy good who is on this forum is doing that sort of thing from looking at his posts.

Also, if you can talk him into it, Keith Averill can fix / restore pretty much anything.

+1 for Keith Averill. He's a site sponsor so you can find his contact info under Racing Stuff

Lindstand is just north of the border in WI, very meticulous and honest. I would trust him with ANY car.

Agree completely. Bruce and friends have maintained my cars for the last 5 or so years (FF is living there still).. Always clean and complete work.

Averill has helped me out a few times too, but never had him work on my car.. but folks always speak very highly of him.

    Default Baurle

I use Ken Baurle. He has a shop SW of Chicago near the Aurora Airport. He does a lot vintage cars.

Pabst Racing Services in Milwaukee does restorations as well. The fabricator that built the original McLaren Can-Am cars is on staff.

    Default Restoration shops

    Emmett:
Thanks for offering to help. I recently had my DN-3 restored by ex-Shadow crew chief. It's a graat looking car, with fascinating design details.

New project is an Atlantic car. I've found a shop. Thanks.

    Default Absolutely exquisite work...

Richard Fried in Danville, IN -- just outside of Indy.

Richard does some of the finest fabrication/restoration work I've seen. Vintage Indy Cars, F/5000's -- all sorts of high-end stuff. A real artisan.

I'll second RM in Wixom, Mi. Outstanding facility with a wide variety of cars being maintained, restored or sold through there. Still active with vintage racing support as well.
