    Default Don Burgoon

It is with incredible sadness that I pass on the sad news of Dons death. Don raced with us and others in F2000 in the mid 90's but probably touched the whole community with his PFC brake pads and hardware. One of the most driven people I have had the pleasure to be around and to have as a customer (and I have been a PFC customer for over 25 years.) Really revolutionized the brake pad industry as asbestos pads went away. Here is the PFC press release
    Phil

To all of our customers, colleagues, and friends…

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Don Burgoon, founder and CEO
of Performance Friction Corporation, on September 12, 2015.

PFC has been restructured in accordance to continue onward and
upward with Don’s vision and plan.

Mary Ann Burgoon continues her service on the Board of Directors and will serve as its Chairman.
Effective immediately, Don’s chosen successor, Nina Burgoon, will assume Don’s day-to-day
    responsibilities as President of PFC.

Tom Davis has served PFC as its CFO and Don’s trusted financial advisor for over 25 years and will
    continue in
that role. Tom will also serve PFC as its Executive Vice President.

Don worked tirelessly to build PFC into a dynamic force in this industry, and the management is
    unified in its
commitment to fulfill and continue Don’s vision for PFC.

It is difficult to summarize Don’s prodigious impact on all forms of Motorsports that PFC has been
involved in. Since the mid 80’s to the present, thousands of race wins and team and driver
championships that Don’s company has supplied the hot end components for has been unparalleled. The
commitment to constant, innovative solutions to the market was one of Don’s many passions.

That vision and passion is deeply rooted in PFC’s business model and PFC will carry on Don’s
legacy. We wish to thank all those who have contacted us as admittedly the outpouring has been both
    unprecedented and humbling.

On Behalf of the PFC Family, Staff, and Friends,

    Thank You

    Sorry to hear this news.
Don had a great passion for making the best brake products. He would never accept that something couldn't be improved and always pushed for the ultimate in everything he did.
