    Default van diemen rf83 ff1600, ff2000 rear arb

    Hi, im after pics of the rear arb system (blade type)for van diemen rf83 ff1600, ff2000, trying to find out if its worth changing from the more conventional 82 system

    I sold this car to a list member a couple of years ago. I can give you his email address if it helps. In my opinion, the blade type ARB worked reasonably well.

    In the '83 system, the blades are the main springs while the bar is kind of the mount for the blades. The blades are well constrained at both ends so the bending load is well applied without much twist. The right hand blade is cable-adjustable from the cockpit while the left hand blade is wrench-adjustable, so you can kind of set a range of adjustment with the left hand blade and adjust within that range with the right hand blade. If you wanted to you could have blades of different thicknesses made up, I suppose.

    I still think that is the best looking oil catch can ever!
