Default Need help identifying an early Super Vee

I always enjoy when someone post an "identifying this car thread", and it's to my surprise that I'm posting such a thread. This one has got me stumped.

Please help identifying this chassis / car:

    Here's what I know:
currently setup for BM Autocross - been this way since the 80's.
    No Logbook
    Resides near Milwaukee, WI
    No Bodywork
Owner mentioned it's a 1976 - but chassis make is unknown, so it could be any year. Aircooled setup with older gearbox setup tells me that it may be a pre '76 car.
It does have inboard disc brakes vs. rear drums.
    Tube chassis with aluminum panels
Appears to have giant bottom frame rails similar to a Caldwell D13 Formula Vee
rear engine sub frame appears to be removable from main hoop.
Hole drilled in main hoop tells me that it was road raced.
I don't know if a log book # is stamped into the main hoop.
old school pro solo sticker on the side.

I'm just curious if someone knows what this is before I take a closer look at it, let alone consider buying it.

I have 'the book" on supervees, and I've never seen ANYTHING like this beast. REar upper A-arms, steering rack mount, front lower a-arms - all very unique. I'll have a look in "the book" to see if I can get anything out of it.

I always start at race-cars.com in the "archives" section

    Default What I know

The car was a one off special built in the 70's some where on the east coast. It came to the milwaukee area in the early 80's and was road raced by a friend of mine for a year or 2. He also auto crossed it for a while and then sold it. He moved to Florida and I have lost touch with him. I did some work on the car and I know for sure that I made the catch can that is still on it. God, that's a long time ago!

    Ditto...scarry

The rear uprights look as if the may have been for a much wider wheel as well.

For the time it was built, not scary, just old technology. Just my opinion. PM me if you want more info on it.

    Default Rear Upper A Arm

Typically the attachment method of the top of the rear upright to the chassis involves two points rather than one point (the rear, upper A arm) that is in single shear. (the rod end is in double shear but the clevis it bolts to is in single shear)
It probably works fine but looks weird...

Just to be clear, this is the logbook photo for this car. Not sure what the Maguire RP26 looks like. Here's another photo showing the updated side pods.
