viewing images as non-members

This topic came up as myself and a couple of other fellow Apexspeed members are trying to help get some new drivers into Formula Ford.

It would be helpful to be able to view the small or medium sized images on the forum when you are either not logged in or not a member. It might help drive membership to the forum by enticing more drivers to purchase these wonderful old race cars

I know of a couple of interested parties, but they (for what ever reason) do not want to join the forum just to view the pictures

They don't sound very interested to me.

Seems to be a common forum setting. i can't tell you how many times i've done online research to fix something, found a topic on some obscure forum, but can't view the pics without joining. Then I join, and the pics really didn't show what I needed to see.....

some of these individuals might be interested, but are not necessarily that savvy on the internet.

I believe it's pretty common to require membership for viewing images on forums because of image leachers that will link or scrape images from forum posts and cause those who pay the bills to keep the site up unnecessary charges for bandwidth to the servers hosting the site. It's kind of like people plugging into your power outlet on the outside of your house without your permission. This way, we're putting the outlet inside the garage and you need to know the pass code to get in.
