Kirk,
Isn't LMI prepping the car?
Why not have them provide trackside for the weekend? Would be highly suggested for a three days super school and regional.

"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
I'm taking the car to Bruce @ LMI this Sunday for prep on Monday... Not sure Bruce will be at the track... As a first timer, buying EVERYTHING needed, including $3,500 in truck updates for towing this week, the fun money reserves are dwindling I'll know how much is left after prep on Tuesday...

He has my car.
I plan on driving Fri/Sat/Sun.
He better be there.
I did the truck and trailer route, then figured with the way I wrecked them before even getting to the track, it was cheaper to have Bruce tow and tinker with my stuff :-)
What car are you running?

Mike:
You should have told Kirk the throwout bearing story. lol

One more thing to check...
"An analog man living in a digital world"
In no particular order (from http://www.mikegoesracing.com/?p=34 a few years ago)
In summary, here is what happened:
- Car won’t start. Remove starter wiring and push start.
- Run 1st session. Good.
- Run 2nd session. Good.
- Run 3rd session. Crack rear rim.
- Mount rear tires on rain rims in a hurry.
- Realize throwout bearing destroyed in last session. No need to hurry now. Car is broke.
- Miss 4th and 5th sessions. But, I still get signed off on the school (yay).
- Decide to fix car tonight and race tomorrow.
- Drink beer to gain confidence in mechanical skills.
- Rip apart rearend of car, installed new bearing, reassemble
Bearing still f'd.

That's seems about right ! I figured my weekend would be very similar. IF this snow ever melts off of BIR, I'm going to do a couple of track days to 'hopefully' find the weak spots & have it ready for the BIR three day. If my kart racing luck follows me into CFC, I'll be going thru engines faster than tires...

Weather looks great for this weekend, you should come out!

My car is sooooo not ready... However, I will come to play next year ! I need to box in my rod ends, add anti-intrusion bars & lots of little things.... I let the car sit too long in the corner of the garage... I will get my license at BIR and be at BHF later this year !
