I have it, On good authority, that Bondurant now has rights to use/rent the west track.
Also I have been informed by a reputable source that the Tribe has hired a management company for other operations.
Seems like they just wanted to fire the current lessee. Something about being a PIA.
The April event is at "Bondurant West." I don't think any final decision has been made for permanent management, but really doubt they'll just put in another casino.
Maybe we'll even see facility upgrades..

Should have my car running again for April's event, do like this news:
The school has reached agreement for a direct lease with the Sun Valley Marina Corporation, a corporation owned by the Gila River Indian Community. The Bondurant School is located on the Gila River Indian Community.
The school previously operated through a sub-lease from Firebird Int’l Raceway, but the Firebird lease will not be renewed when it expires in April. The new Bondurant lease includes the school’s current 1.6-mile road course plus use of Firebird Int’l Raceway’s west track for future expansion and track rental.
“We will continue to operate on our current property,” Bondurant chief operating officer Darren Law confirmed. “We are also taking over the west track portion of the facility, which will allow us to expand our classes as well as taking control of leasing to the local race clubs and car manufacturers.

I'm pretty much prepped for AMP next weekend, really looking forward to checking out the track even though my tires went off last event (that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it - the AIM shows I was pulling less and less lateral g as the weekend progressed, adding about a second per lap each day rather than taking time off). Since I'll have to buy a set of Toyos up in Montreal I'll just be content to be even slower than usual for now.
That was my excuse for skipping the Bondurant West event. Jens countered with the offer of his wheels from the DB1. We'll see what other excuses I can concoct. I'd especially need them if I'm still so slow..
If all we have at FIR is the West track I could live with that - it's my favorite by far. I haven't given up hope for the others, though.
