Americans can cheer on Tristian Nunez and Jack Mitchell Jr. Jack ran with my team this season here in the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship and is a great young man. Met Tristian at Brands last weekend and he is also a fine representative for Team USA. Great racing last weekend and this weekend should be even better with the live timing available for sat/sunday only.

Looks like Nunez adapted to the English weather pretty well! No mean feat to win the biggest FF1600!
Grist & Mitchell both finished very well too.

Team USA does it again! I think 3 out of the last 5 Walter Hayes winners have come from the program. Jeremy Shaw has that deal on lockdown.
Big congratulations to Tristan Nunez and Cliff Dempsey Racing on their win.
The final was one of the greatest finals in memory. Peter Dempsey and Joey Foster seemed to have made it a race of their own until the last lap when they got together and took each other out. Tristan drove a fantastic race and was able to capitalize on their mistake to bring it home first.
We were running 2nd in our heat race only to have gearbox issues cause us to slide back to 5th. On Sunday it was full wet and we missed the setup by a bit where we finished the semi 10th and the final 20th. It was a great weekend for Austin who had the pace in the dry to run at the point. At the FFF we had to come from the back of the field after some engine issues and were running 7th on lap 2 moving forward in the final when the float stuck open and we had to retire.
We'll give it another year in FF next year and hope to compete for the National Championship representing America over the pond.
A special thank you to Jay Ivey and Ivey engines for the carbs along with Greg Pizzo and Velocity Haus for the running gear. Definitely the best Van Diemen on the track thanks to American know how!
