Garry,
Thanks for the reminder that the ARRC will be slightly different than years past.
Here is a direct link to the 2010 ARRC format:

FYI, I have talked with Butch Kummer and Sports 2000 will not be in our race group

"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
Sounds like quite the expansion. I missed last year, but I have it on the calender for this November.
Butch: Is there any way the S2's could run with another group? As a CFF driver I know it is very hard for a S2 to see us if we are behind them.
All you Club Ford drivers, let's make this a big turn-out!
Thanks, Bill, for taking the lead on getting the S2's away from us. They're nice people, I just don't want to get lost behind them.

Dave,
Butch said it was more of a typo than anything else. My bet is that our group won't be all that much different with the 2010 changes. Maybe a few FF's, FV's and F6's, no biggie.
Bill Bonow
"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
Bill is correct. When I posted the original note months ago I copied the groups from one of our other events and missed dropping S2 out of the "Wingless" formula car group.
It will be: CF, F5, F6, FF, FFX (Fit restrictor size TBD based on results from the Run-Ons), FST, FV
You will also be Group 5, which means you'll race first thing after lunch on Saturday.
See ya...
BK
Regarding the F6's: We hope to have at least 4+ F600's there as many are being built/converted around the country as we read this. Along with several national/regional F500's this group could grow to a large number. I am really looking forward to it.
BTW, I am starting a F600 rental + trackside support service with 3 cars & 2 trailers, to start, so spread the word.
Jim
Hi guys,
We have some good plans for the ARRC. Prizes, contingencies clothing etc. It only available to members of the FFDA. We need the drivers in the southeast to join the association. PM me and I'll tel you how to join because things have changed.
Could you at least post what FFDA stands for. The first thing that popped up on Google was Florida Funeral Directors Association and I hope that isn't the right acronym!

Thanks. Makes sense now. Look forward to seeing some FST's out on the track with our F600's.

But I do need the first drivers from the Southeast to join or renew their membership
Butch: Could you post the schedule for this years ARRC? I am trying to schedule around work, etc.
Thanks.
Dave
Dave,
I was looking for that last night. They do have a projected schedule, but you have to click on the 'root' ARRC page rather than picking schedule from the dropdown list.

I hope that you have the largest number of entries since ya'll started coming down.
Jim
Just got myself entered
When we've added up all the "I'll be there for sure", we should have 10+ entries. As of this point there are 3. If your planning on going, get yourself all entered up. I know there is plenty of time left, but we all feel better when the entries are in.
Jim just listed the link below, but here it is again:

Hey :
Those who are going need to update or submit your current biography's to Robert Guhde. It's important that the track announcer has good information to make our race more exciting for those not in a drivers seat.

Jim,
I found a dropped valve seat and broken head stud after Barber. I'll know in a few days if I'm going to make it. I'm not an engine man, but I am going to try and fix it.
Thanks for asking,
Garry
Ask Stevan Davis, FV driver, if he or someone he knows can help you asap -

I installed 2 new heads, last night. When I started it up for the first time, one of the valve adjusters came loose and backed out. After making a terrible noise, the pushrod slipped off the rocker arm and it went to 3 cylinders. After just about calling it quits, I put it all back together and it started and ran. (in the garage at 1 a.m.) I've never done ANY of this before, but I'm going to give it a shot on the test day Thurs. I figured I need to at least show up at my home track.
See you there,
Garry
Lone Wolf Racing
Garry,
There should be plenty of guys there to help make sure everything is right. Best of luck!
Gary - Let us know if you need anything on Thursday. We'll get you running strong.
Doug FST 5
It's cold at the ARRC (high in the mid 50's).
Qualifying was very greasy.
1- Seim
2- Clark
3- Bonow
4- Smith
5- Sharp
6- Adderly
7- Deer
8- Schings
The race will be on live timing:
Go to www.arrc-online.com and click on one of three live timing links. FST will race at 1 pm EST
They finished in the same order but that does NOT mean it wasn't exciting. The top three were together for the whole race. You wondered if they were all waiting for the right time to pounce. I guess Seim never made a mistake.

Congratulations to all that were at the ARRC. We had a blast and it was good to see all the FST folks again.
Thanks to SR Racing, Jim Greg, Brandon and Jeremy. Also Rick and Scott (Paw Paw)

An awesome experience running hard the whole distance with two guys you can trust to run you hard and fair!
Many thanks to Robert Guhde for absolutely everything this season. An incredible ride!
Also many thanks to Randy Hensler for tremendous support in the paddock and pits this year.
Thanks to Jamie Allen who crewed his first FST race this weekend and is going home an SCCA member!
As always, we owe a big thank you to Bruce Foss and Hoosier for their support of our series and the great durable tires.
Doug FST 5
A perfect ending to another great FST season. Doug caps off his series championship with a well deserved win at the ARRC, congratulations. We had our series trophy presentation after the race on Saturday (photos posted soon) and many came over to cheer on all of our series sponsors/competitors.
I had a great season this year, finishing second to Doug in the series and third at the ARRC.
I have a few guys that I want to thank for their support and help for this season (and many past seasons)
Thanks for another fantastic season.
- First and formost, Bruce Foss at Hoosier Tire. Bruce has been a HUGE supporter of FST and you should all know that there is not a better tire company on this planet to work with, bar none. We have been so happy with the tire performance and the very reasonable pricing.
- Larry Campbell at Campbell Motorsport, constructor of the Evolution Formula First. The Evolution is safe, fast and competitive FST that will fit large drivers. Larry has work closely with us from day one to make sure the cars are always up front and they are.
- Jim and Greg Schings at SRacing. They have been the biggest investor/supporter of FST from the very begining in 2002. They build very competitive/reliable engines and stand behind their work. They are always at the track with technical support anytime they are needed.

"Wait, which one is the gas pedal again?"
Sounds like another great FST weekend/race!
Sorry I couldn't make this year. Truth be told, I am out of vacation time. I'll try to plan out my summer a little better next year, and keep the ARC on my list.
Congrats to everybody who did make it, and especially to Doug for such a great season!
Jason
Just as a reminder like the post above, now is the time to schedule your vacation and start saving money for 2011 season. Don't put this off and then forget!!
