Ric, the people to talk to about that are Francois Leblanc f_leblanc@fragznet.com or Marcel Lafontaine Marcel.Lafontaine@augergroupe.com They are working at getting it on the schedule for the "Formula Tour 1600" which is the Quebec FF Championship. As someone who has been there as a driver and as a team owner it is definitely a cool event. Unfortunately for us this year the date is conflicting with a double header round of the OFFC at Mosport with Nascar Canadian Tires series as well as featuring the F2000 Championship Series. I do hope our Quebec FF friends are successful in getting on the schedule but if not they have actually firmed up the event at the GP Circuit during the Nascar Nationwide event in August. Check out the website http://formulatour1600.powweb.com/index.html Brian.
that's the same issue i have as i was planning on running the mosprt event also
While I'm pretty sure the Quebec-based Formula Tour will again be racing during the great Trois-Rivieres event, it should be noted the schedule currently on the website is for last year, not 2010. Hopefully we'll see some news about this season shortly.

thanks Al. i'm currently planning on running the f2000 mosport event but will switch if the F1 race becomes available
Formula Tour signed with the Nascar race in August on Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and that's the same group who organize the F1 race...
But nobody confirm the support race for the Formula one weekend so maybe there's still a chance...

Just announced earlier this week, Formula Tour will be a part of the F1 in Montreal.
I guess that means some of us have some decisions to make!
Here is the new web site for Formula tour 1600!

Formula tour 1600 will be in montreal !!!
Free practice friday morning just before lunch
Qualification saturday morning
Race 1 saturday after F1 qualifications
Race 2 sunday morning before F1 race
Giddy like a school girl .........sending 4 entries from the prairies of Canada
Do I email Francois or Marcel regarding registration.
Unless you guys can answer a few questions I have. From what I gather, it's $150 to enter the series for the weekend as WELL as an additonal fee for the event. I'm able to use my Regional B and do not need a Regional A / ASN National.
Correct?
Any news on the fees for the event?
Regional B is good enough !

While we are happy for our friends from Quebec securing a spot on the schedule at the GP we do have our own event to run at Mosport with the Canadian Tire Nascar event as the headliner. Our schedule was drawn up when there was no confirmed GP let alone a FF race as a support event. That said, we have a long history with Mosport and their support of FF dating back to the early 70's. They needed us on the schedule and it has always been a well supported event. It really is a shame the two events are on the same weekend. However, we will not have that problem next year as the change this year in the Nascar event will revert back to its original date a week after the GP.
This is the weekend we will be working with Steve Beeler to bring some of the US drivers to Mosport and have big plans for a great event. There is a test day on the friday, with a double header event and will feature the Can Am Cup. There will be a press release shortly annoncing the details on the full weekend.
Brian.
